The Walk of Hope 2015-16 will pass through Bangalore in the first week of April, 2015. The Walk of Hope 2015 Team is now looking for volunteers who can contribute to spreading the word and getting the local communities to participate in the walk.
Each volunteer would take a specific stretch of approximately 2-4 kms of the Walk of Hope route and would enlist the support of local communities. Ideally the volunteer must be a resident of that area. This would also involve volunteers who will help in enlisting the support of institutions (like colleges /schools) and corporates in the city.
Here is the Current Route for the Walk of Hope in Bengaluru.
As a volunteer, you must be able to put one hour of work every day for about 3-4 months towards this work. You would also be required to attend the fortnightly review meetings.
Once you enlist as a volunteer, we would kick off the effort with an orientation meeting. The Walk of Hope Team will help you with marketing material that you can use to create awareness and enlist support of local communities, institutions and corporates.
If you are willing to contribute as a volunteer, please give your name, phone number along with the locality /part of route where you would like to contribute to bengaluru@walkofhope.in
